WikiWOOD is an online woodworking education & information collaborative.

The primary purpose is to consolidate and organize woodworking knowledge with the help of woodworkers themselves.

WikiWOOD is a sub domain of www.woodbase.org and was started in 2008 in conjunction with www.socialsawdust.com which has since gone inactive. Based on the famous Wikipedia, wikiWOOD uses the same MediaWiki software.

In January 2009 a small group of woodturners from the Yahoo Group TurningAndTalking stepped up to revitalise the wiki which had been dormant for nine months. It is still sponsored by its original founder.
